Shill is a band, a sound, a song. It’s one human truth set free.
It began as an energy in the streets of Paris, lightning jumping from one face to another, then found in the shadows failing, half a world away, life pouring out onto melting asphalt.
In Amsterdam, Shill lurked inchoate. Venice contributed wild magic, but no sleep. Footsteps still echo on Venetian cobblestone. (The best sleep is in Upper Montclair, New Jersey.)
Shill made its way through crowded New York City streets, unnoticed; words and music drowned by clanging subway trains. Racing down steep San Francisco slopes, Shill breathed beginning breath. Montreal, Los Angeles, then hunkered down in New Orleans, flush with humidity, mystery and unrest. Now epicentered in Nashville.
But this half-truth, this inchoate song, these sounds, this band? They grew from one city to the next, they learned, they changed, and grew again. Somewhere in there Shill was born.
So listen up, because Shill is wrung hard from human experience. It is one hard-won, human song. A band, a sound, a song. It wants in.
